Saint John Chapter

2019 Saint John Pawlooza

We are pet friendly, and welcome all well behaved critters to join their owners. We do ask that dogs remain on a 6ft or shorter leash(please no retractable leashes as they make it very difficult to control your dog in a busy venue). Please also be advised, owners are responsible for any mess created by their pet. We will have cleaner and poop bags on hand if needed.

Admission to this event will be by monetary donation only. Proceeds this year will be split between Ca-R-Ma Saint John Chapter & Transporters Without Borders.

Show Us Your Heart fundraising campaign. Global Pet Foods – Saint John – West

Today, we’re kicking off Show Us Your Heart fundraising campaign. From February 11th to 24th, we’ll be asking for donations to help find loving homes for abandoned pets. Visit us at the Westside to make your donation to support Carma (Cat Rescue Maritimes – Saint John Chapter) . Global Pet Foods will donate $1 for every donation received up to $75,000. Thanks for supporting the Show Us Your Heart Program!

PetSmart Charities (via Fredericton chapter)

HUGE thanks to PetSmart Charities presented a cheque for $35,050 to assist ALL 13 CARMA CHAPTERS (3 in Nova Scotia and 10 in New Brunswick) Annually, the 13 chapters together neuter and spay approximately 2,000 cats. The grant offsets the neutering and spaying costs and will allow the chapters to either replace damaged equipment or to purchase equipment that up until now they have been unable to afford. We are sincerely grateful to PetSmart Charities for their support of animal welfare organizations, like CARMA!

The photo shows the presentation of the cheque from Barb Barton, assistant manager of the Fredericton PetSmart store to Sue Knight, President of CARMA.

Fill the Bus! Food and Litter Drive

Cats and kittens in the Saint John and surrounding areas need your help!

On May 21, 2016 – 9:00-5:00 at the Rothesay Avenue Superstore Parking Lot

CARMA Saint John’s goal is to fill the bus with cat food and litter for the considerable amount of cats we are feeding in outdoor colonies as well as the many cats we have in foster homes waiting to be adopted.   No donation is too small – every little but helps! We will also be accepting any monetary donations , as well as any other items that the kitties could use.
