Come spend time with us at the Centennial Park in Moncton for a walk-a-thon. Plenty of prizes and activities for the whole family.
In the spring of 2019, tragedy struck the Carma moncton chapter with dozens of severe cases of Panleukopenia (Feline Parvrovirus). This virus is a severe form a gastro-intestinal infection that causes extreme dehydration and is often deadly to cats, but especially vulnerable Kittens. Although the volunteers and fosters at Carma Moncton provided exemplary supportive care and veterinary inpatient care assistance when needed to the affected cats, multiple adult cats and kittens lost their battle with this deadly virus.
In a plea for help, the media coverage from this tragic event has rallied the local community together and people generously offered their support to our upcoming fundraising events and we received many generous donations.
There are still many cats in our care and a few kittens still fighting their battle with Panleukopenia. We need your help. Please see our upcoming events on the News section of the webpage, or please follow our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/carmamoncton/ for more information of how you could help save lives today!

HUGE thanks to PetSmart Charities presented a cheque for $35,050 to assist ALL 13 CARMA CHAPTERS (3 in Nova Scotia and 10 in New Brunswick) Annually, the 13 chapters together neuter and spay approximately 2,000 cats. The grant offsets the neutering and spaying costs and will allow the chapters to either replace damaged equipment or to purchase equipment that up until now they have been unable to afford. We are sincerely grateful to PetSmart Charities for their support of animal welfare organizations, like CARMA!
The photo shows the presentation of the cheque from Barb Barton, assistant manager of the Fredericton PetSmart store to Sue Knight, President of CARMA.
There will be a spay-getti and no balls supper Tues, June 28th from 4:30-7:30 at Phantoms restaurant. Come have supper out and support our new Bathurst chapter!
For those who wish to donate please designate which chapter you would like the funds to go too 🙂
Stay tuned as we get ready to launch our new and improved website!
