Cats & Kittens for Adoption!

A Plea for Temporary Foster Homes /Parents
~ca-r-ma.org – Saint John is sending out an urgent plea. We are in need of temporarily foster homes/parents to help our newly sprung - spring kittens. We provide all supplies, such as, litter, food, toys, and other equipment necessary. Doing this gives our organization a little extra time needed to find these furry feline friends their FURever homes. If you have some spare time, spare room and an obvious love for cats, please contact us for more information on how you can help those in need.
Future TableDates:
July 17th and 30th, August 14th, 20th, & 28th.
Anyone have airmiles they don't know what to do with?
~140 gets a $20 Sobeys card
~350 gets a $50 Sobeys card
~200 gets a $25 Zellers card
~400 gets a $50 Zellers card
~These cards could be used by us to buy much needed cat food.
~these cats given enough time to fend for themselves alone with no human contact will return to their natural state. To observe the feral soul from afar is one of the most amazing sights we can ever witness. The bond formed between cats of the same colony is forever; theirs is not a disposable society~

It all started many years ago and many cats & kittens later but specifically with a wondering female cat that appeared in the area. No one really noticed her until six or eight weeks after she had her first litter. The cat had little to no contact with “our kind” before, so we, the neighbourhood, thought it was fun to watch them from afar, as they didn’t let you get too close. The following summer there was another litter, then another and that’s how it starts.
After the cuteness and novelty wore off, the neighbors decided that feeding them was keeping them here and if they stopped the cats might just go away. I believed and still believe that the care was keeping them alive. Once all the neighborhood help ceased to exist, the responsibly then fell solely on me. There was no way possible I could let them go hungry. Too much time had passed and too many whiskers crossed my path.
At some point someone fet it was smart to drop of their house pet, which was female and not spayed. She was the first cat I took in, named her “Baby” and then that same summer walked in “Lightning”.

His mother kept leaving him behind when she moved around the property. Every summer then on, I would take one or two in and was finding homes for many kittens, all the while, seeing a lot of beauties and a lot of unfortunate deaths. It has been very rewarding and also very stressful. Not only is there the financial burden of taking on so many free roaming cats but also carrying the responsible of finding homes for the 20, 30 or 40 kittens every spring and summer. Not to mention, making sure they have shelter for winter months. How helpless I’ve felt being forced to watch cats with injuries that I couldn’t get close enough to help but lucky to remember how many I’ve watched bounce back from injury.
Never did I plan to have a multi cat house hold, especially with some of them having medical issues, but I am glad that they have found a home and even more glad its mine.
What could I have done if not for ca-r-ma?! This organization helped so much with spaying and neutering as well as medications and kitten adoptions. They have been life a saver for us. The cats that still reside here are not only spayed and neutered but vaccinated, treated with Revolution and because of this will live a much healthier life.
The moral of my story, I would not have it any other way, I love them all!
