Gypsy Rose Lee (long-hair)
and Elfie Leroux (short-hair),

Wild Kingdom.

This gang also missed another
appointment earlier this summer.
The woman in the trailer park
where they were born had been
feeding their mother, Sherry, since
early Spring. Sherry, a beautiful,
sleek, pitch-black cat, showed up
with clock-like precision at this woman's door for her daily rations.
She is feral, however, so when she showed signs of late-stage
pregnancy in late July, the woman sought our help to trap her
before the kittens came.  But we were too late.  Sherry didn't
appear one day and showed up skinny the next.  So we waited
her out, hoping the kittens would one day turn up.  And waited...
At last, about 2 weeks ago, the kittens appeared on this
woman's doorstep, looking for food.  We made sure they didn't
miss this next appointment.

At a little over 3 months of age, the kittens are progressing well
in their socialization to humans and living indoors.  Sophie has
always been quite approachable, but she has been surpassed
since by Gypsy, who's become quite the little character.  Elfie has
always been more cautious, but she's coming along nicely.  Each
of the kittens can be picked up and cuddled with little fuss.  The
best thing for them right now is to find their own forever
home(s), where their personalities will continue to flower.

And Sherry, their mother, has been spayed and she will soon be
returned to the trailer park under the careful watch of the woman
who will continue to look out for her and others in the area.

Here's hoping they don't miss the last and more important
opportunity to find a forever home, a place where cats are for
keeps...

Meet:
Gypsy. Bold, adventurous and as round as a porcupine with all
that long fur (minus the sharp quills!).

Meet:
Sophie. Sweet and cuddly, with very pretty markings.

Meet:
Elfie. More cautious than the others,
but still coming along well, accepting
cuddles with little resistance. She has
an "elfin" face, hence the name...
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Daisy was found
scrounging out a living at
a new construction site in
Burnside. As it happens,
Daisy is quite the sook,
loving nothing better than
to be close to you and the
object of your affections.
In a word? Velcro. She's
follows me everywhere and
loves to nestle in close by
my side.

Daisy has been spayed and dewormed, and has no fleas and ear
mites. She uses her litter religiously and has a good appetite –
loves her wet food and treats. She’s a small, pretty black tortie
with interesting, asymmetrical markings. And the pièce de
résistance? She has six toes!

I need to find Daisy a home where she will have a warm, cuddly
lap befitting her affectionate personality. She prefers people to
cats, but will tolerate the other cats in the household. I know. I
already have a number of kitty-critters, including a very put-out
lap cat of my own, or I would keep her for myself.

Do you have room in your heart for this sweet little thing? You
won't be disappointed.
